Crisis Pregnancy Centers opened in January 1980 in Carbondale
by a group of concerned individuals who wanted to help those
facing an untimely pregnancy. In 1989, the agency opened its
Marion extension office. With the help from a grant from the
United Parcel Service, our Anna office opened in August of
2000.
Our
three offices now serve more than 3,000 individuals and families
each year from 12 different southern Illinois counties. We
help people regardless of their place of residence, marital
status, race, religion, or socio- economic status.
Our organization is governed by an 11 member board of directors,
including attorneys, a physician, an accountant, a counselor,
a pastor, and a variety of other professions. Their experience
and expertise help guide the decisions that determine our
policies, procedures, and services. |
